Solstice (NES)
"Speed run of Solstice with 100% completion done on October 11 2004. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60 fps high quality. Timing note: the run was timed based on an earlier (crappier) capture from a different VCR, so it actually times slightly faster now, but the old time is left. "

"Well, this is my second speed run up at SDA and I must say I'm quite excited! The very first thing I would like to do is to dedicate this run to Megan Shipp, a real life girl (OMG). If it wasn't for her, I never would have had the motivation to finish this run as I was ready to just give up. While I'm thanking people, I should thank Radix and Nate for getting my run to actually be here. A quick note before we get to the run. The game, as you should already know, is filled with glitches. If something seems out of place or unnatural, then just remember that it's most likely a glitch! "

"Here we go again, stanski's sonic 2 SS part très. The one thing I would like to explain is that certain things in this game cost a lot more time than it seems like, even if it visually a certain other part where I barely lose time or don't lose time at all looks worse. This especially has to do with the timed elements, which occur in a few different levels. For example, the most asked about level is usually metro 2, about how I get raped all the time in that level. It really doesn't matter how much time I lose in that level since I can't progress until a certain timed element gets to the point to let me progress. "

"A unique game to say the least, in Street Fighter 2010(completely unrelated to the fighting game series) the player must go through a series of levels, collecting enough powerups to warp from one to the next. In doing a tool-assisted run of the game, the author must properly plan what enemies to target and what order to target them in in order to progress as quickly as possible. It will be made clear that the author has done so as you see him gracefully jump through the air, accurately shooting the necessary monsters. "

This game is sort of Contra 2. The guy who has infinite supply of ammo and who destroys worlds bare-chested is back! This movie is a 39 seconds improvement to the previous version and wasn't stuck with the fire button. Selected comments from the author: "At the Final Boss section, I have lost a life to get the normal weapon, because the boss is beaten faster with it."

Super Mario Bros Speed Run
This is a speed run for Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I did not do this speed run. I got it from www.speeddemosarchive.com. I got it for all those Super Mario Brothers fans out there, and non-fans alike. So please don't accuse me of copyright infringement, or plagurism. Enjoy. Best time: 0:05:00 by Andrew Gardikis on 10.04.07.

I've replaced my old 5:14 video with my newest 5:13! This is probably the last time I'll improve my record. The video quality on this one is pretty good since it was captured from the original video tape of my run. The only thing I'm not happy with in this run is my 4-2 performance. It was not bad, but I've done better. The rest went perfectly, and I even set a new PR in 8-4 with 309 time units remaining.

This is my first submission for SMB3. The time for this run is 11:15, from start button to entering the final door, which should make it the fastest legitimate run on record. This is a 20 second improvement from a previous recording that I did, which was 11:35, getting caught once by the hands on world 8. There are still some mistakes in it though, most notably getting hit on 8-2 and losing my fire power. This run was done in accordance to TG settings for the game, so the wall shortcut in Bowser's Castle was not used. If I did use the shortcut though, the time could have been around 11:08 instead.

"This is my latest Super Mario World speed run. This one finishes in 11 minutes and 10 seconds by Twin Galaxies timing rules! It's a pretty clean run although there is room for improvement as usual. I'm getting sick of this game so this will probably be my last run at it for a while. "
